Description

Since its creation in 1956, the Bulle Philatelic Club has always included philately enthusiasts. During its evenings, a wide variety of topics are covered, with a large focus on traditional and thematic philately. The club has always had a very active junior movement that regularly participates in official exhibitions of the Federation of Swiss Philatelic Societies, allowing it to exhibit its treasures. Currently, with around fifty members, the philatelic club is considered one of the most active in Switzerland. Indeed, three official exhibitions (2009, 2015, and 2019) were organized by a few highly motivated members. At each exhibition, the Post Office issued a souvenir sheet; they are still valid for franking mail. It should not be forgotten that there is only one exhibition of this type in Switzerland per year. These blocks are naturally the pride of our club.

Our activities are monthly meetings, always on the third Friday of the month, a true place for exchange and learning. Our sessions take place in the building of the CO of Gruyère (Route de la Ronclina 2, 1625 la Tour-de-Trême). Very often these evenings are the subject of conferences, exchanges of philatelic material, bets, various presentations on the many facets of philately. The club organizes one or two annual visits to exhibitions, ranging from local exhibitions to international exhibitions. A library, always kept up to date, has nearly 370 works, it allows members to find answers to their collection, it is a very valuable help to improve its collections and acquire new knowledge.
